AH-RIN International Duties & Customs Policy

Last Updated: 25 April 2026

Applies to: United Kingdom, European Union, United States, Canada, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Australia, New Zealand & All International Customers.

This International Duties & Customs Policy explains how customs duties, VAT, import taxes, inspection fees, documentation requirements, and customs enforcement actions are handled for all orders shipped from our fulfilment center in South Korea to your destination country.

This Policy forms part of the Terms of Service, Global Shipping & Delivery Policy, International Returns Policy, and Parallel Import Notice.

1. Overview All AH-RIN orders are shipped DDU – Delivered Duty Unpaid, meaning:

  • Customs duties, import VAT, inspection fees, or government charges are not included at checkout.
  • These fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.
  • AH-RIN has no control over customs decisions, local regulations, or clearance timelines.

This applies to every destination country, including the UK, EU, USA, UAE, India, and Australia.

2. Customer Responsibility (DDU Terms)

By placing an order on www.ah-rin.com, you acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for:

Import VAT

Customs duties

Clearance / inspection charges

Quarantine or port authority fees

Courier disbursement or administrative charges

Any documentation required by your local customs authority

These amounts vary by country and may change without notice.

3. Customs Clearance Process Once your parcel arrives in your country:

  • Customs authorities inspect the parcel
  • Duties or taxes may be assessed
  • The courier contacts you for payment
  • You must pay these fees for the parcel to be released
  • Customs may request additional documentation (ID, invoice, etc.)

Failure to comply may result in:

  • Delays
  • Return-to-sender
  • Rejection
  • Seizure
  • Destruction of goods

These events are outside AH-RIN’s control.

4. Ingredient, Religious & Regulatory Restrictions Some countries have strict rules on cosmetic imports, especially in:

  • UAE
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Qatar
  • Kuwait
  • India
  • Egypt
  • Brazil
  • Certain EU jurisdictions

Common restrictions include:

  • Alcohol content
  • Strong fragrance levels
  • Snail mucin
  • Pig-derived collagen
  • Non-Halal certified ingredients
  • Brightening agents
  • Non-approved preservatives

AH-RIN does not guarantee:

Halal compliance

Ingredient acceptance

Region-specific formulation approval

Import certification

Regulatory compliance with your country

Customers must verify ingredient acceptability before purchasing. Ingredient restrictions do not qualify for:

  • Refunds
  • Replacements
  • Exchanges
  • Defect claims (See Medical Disclaimer, Warranty Policy, and Parallel Import Notice.)

5. Customs Rejection, Return, or Destruction

If a parcel is rejected due to unpaid customs fees, ingredient restrictions, documentation issues, or refusal by the customer, the following applies (subject to applicable UK and EU consumer protection laws):

Original shipping fees are non-refundable

Return courier and customs handling fees will be deducted from any applicable             refund

A refund is issued only if the parcel physically returns to our fulfilment center in             resalable condition

No refunds will be issued if customs destroys, confiscates, or refuses to return the         parcel

AH-RIN cannot:

  • Override customs decisions
  • Contact customs on behalf of a customer
  • Pay customs charges for a customer
  • Recover destroyed items

These are legal actions taken by government authorities.

6. Customs Delay or Extended Inspection Delays may occur due to:

  • Peak seasons
  • Random inspections
  • Ingredient checks
  • Country-specific cosmetic rules
  • Security backlogs
  • High-risk classification of beauty products
  • Government holidays

These delays do not qualify for:

  • Refunds
  • Compensation
  • Dispute claims
  • Chargebacks

Customs has full authority over clearance timelines.

7. Documentation Requirements Customs may require the customer to provide:

  • ID / Passport copy
  • Proof of address
  • Invoice or payment confirmation
  • Ingredient verification
  • Import permit (rare, depends on country)

Failure to supply documents can result in:

  • Return-to-sender
  • Fines
  • Parcel destruction

These outcomes remain the customer’s responsibility.

8. No Chargebacks or Payment Disputes for Customs Issues Customs-related outcomes do not justify chargebacks or payment disputes. Examples:

  • Unpaid customs
  • Customs delays
  • Ingredient restrictions
  • Inspection failures
  • Parcel destruction
  • Documentation refusal

These events are determined by government authorities, not AH-RIN.

9. AH-RIN’s Role & Limitations AH-RIN:

  • Provides full documentation for export
  • Ensures correct shipping paperwork
  • Declares products accurately
  • Follows South Korea’s export regulations
